xpandedcareers is an ASP (Active Server Pages) application for recruitment web systems. It can be used either by a portal site to run a job board for multiple recruiters, or can be used by an HR/recruitment agency to run their own website.

For recruitment portals and classified job advertising sections, xpandedcareers provides good regulation of advertisers with low admin overhead. Designed around the principal of 'job ad credits', the number of vacancies posted by each can be easily controlled.

Underlying Technology

xpandedcareers is an ASP (Active Server Pages) software system that consists of a series of web scripts on a Windows 2003 server communicating with a Microsoft SQL database. Being full source code, the system can be modified as much as required by external contractors or resident techies. Alternatively, xpandedMedia can make any customizations prior to delivery. The software is supplied for hosting on the client's own webserver and we can provide suitable hosting if required.

Licensing and setup

Because xpandedcareers runs as a web application, licensing is for the single domain. Furthermore, because it requires only a browser network connection for each user, there is no installation, upgrading or troubleshooting required on consultants' desktop systems. Modification, troubleshooting and other tasks that might once have required a site visit can now be done remotely - this vastly simplifies implementing and supporting a system across multiple offices.
